Toddlers Class
We believe that the youngest learners at Children’s Nest Day Schools should be shown a path that leads them towards a lifetime of learning.
Toddlers as young as one-year-old will benefit from our caring atmosphere, reassuring routine, and stimulating activities.
Children this age learn most effectively through a balance of play, teacher-led activities, and repetition. Most importantly, of course, these children need a surplus of nurturing, so love and personal attention are something we include in every activity.
Early Pre-School
The long-term goal of our Early Preschool Program is to prepare your child as she begins the journey that will eventually lead her into kindergarten and beyond as a successful lifelong learner.
In the short term, our early preschool teachers focus on preparing your child for the next level of curriculum at Children’s Nest.
Throughout the three-year preschool curriculum, which encompasses Early Preschool, Preschool and then Pre-Kindergarten, your child will acquire a full breadth of developmental skills necessary to successfully enter kindergarten eager and ready to learn.
Pre-Kindergarten
Children’s Nest Day School is a licensed provider of Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten (VPK) for the State of Florida. We strongly encourage the parents of all eligible children to take full advantage of VPK.
Completion of a state-licensed pre-kindergarten program like ours ensures that children will be able to make the transition to the public school classroom with confidence and ease.
We look at each day as a learning journey in our pre-kindergarten classrooms, where we help children develop the cognitive, social, language, physical and early literacy skills necessary to be successful in their school career.
Our classroom consists of certified and well-trained teachers leading their students through a variety of activities each with the expressed purpose of preparing your child for their academic future. From story time and art projects to center time and science experiments, VPK aims to foster a lifelong love of learning.
Before and After School Care
Children’s Nest offers school-age children a safe, fun and educational experience before or after elementary school.
Fully-licensed and trained drivers and state-approved buses and vans deliver children safely to and from schools in our neighborhoods.
Summer Camp
Our school-age summer camp is tailored to the interests of elementary-aged students and offers a broad range of fun, interesting, and educational field trips, in-school visitors, and activities.
We visit museums, stadiums and arenas, working farms and zoos, kitchens and restaurants, and more (our end of summer dress-up lunch at The Columbia Restaurant in Ybor City is a particular favorite!) We also bring in artists and magic shows and chefs and a host of other entertaining activities to the school.
We even host mini-camps during the holidays and spring break when schools are out of session.
